[Sobre o Windows 10] Windows 10 Redstone (Wave 1) could be coming in July

Microsoft is currently testing Windows 10 Redstone with Windows Insiders and Internally. Redstone is expected to be the next major update for Windows 10 after Threshold 2, which was released last year. Just like Threshold, Microsoft will be releasing Redstone in two waves. Previously, it was rumored that Microsoft will be releasing the Wave 1 of Redstone (RS1) sometime in June or July while the Wave 2 (RS2) is expected to arrive next year. Now, Microsoft recently published some new documentation for developers about building apps for Redstone, the UWP, and building UWP apps for the Xbox One which revealed a tiny bit of information about Redstone Wave 1.

One of the documentation revealed the “Version 1607” for Windows 10, which means Windows 10 Redstone will get released in July. For those who don’t know, the version numbers represent the year and the month of a release — for example, Threshold 2 was released in November, so its version was 1511 (2015, November). So, Version 1607 suggests that Windows 10 Redstone will be coming in July 2016.

It is not yet clear if Windows 10 Version 1607 will be coming to all the different types of devices running the OS. However, the documentation suggests that it will be coming to the Xbox One and PCs at the same time while the other devices will probably get it later bookmark our Build 2016 page to stay up-to-date with the latest news.

Uma Documentação liberada para Desenvolvedores sobre criação de Aplicativos para Redstone, UWP (Aplicativos Universais do Windows) e criação de Aplicativos UWP para Xbox One revelam que o primeiro lançamento do Windows 10 Redstone se dará em Julho deste ano de acordo com o número da buil 1607. Para quem não sabe o número da build representa ano e mês de lançamento. Por exemplo Threshold 2 foi lançado em Novembro, assim sua versão é 1511 (2015, Novembro).
